I feel music in your eyes
Rainbows in your kiss
I have never reached such heights
Could heaven ever be like this?
-Idris Muhammad
Oh, don't, don't, don't
Don't put no headstone on my grave.
All my life I've been a slave,
I don't want the world to know,
Here lies the fool that loved you so.
Don't send no flowers when I'm gone,
I just want you to put me down, and then move on.
Just put me down and let me be
Free, from all this misery.
Now tell my Mother, tell my Mother not to cry,
I'll see her in the by and by.
Tell her that I'm finally free
From all the trouble you caused me.

penitent man, penitent man, only the penitent man will pass.

Let the music take your mind, ooh
Just release and you will find
You're gonna fly away
Glad you're goin' my way
I love it when we're cruisin' together
The music is played for love
Cruisin' is made for love
I love it when we're cruisin' together

I know it's easy to imagine,
But it's easier to just do,
See, if you can't do what you imagine,
Then what is imagination to you?
Just a waste of space in your brain,
To take the place of hate...-Kid Cudi
In the words of Sam Cook:
I was born by the river, in a little tent
Oh, and just like the river
I've been running ever since
It's been a long
A long time coming
But I know a change gonna come
Oh, yes it will
It's been too hard living
But I'm afraid to die
'Cause I don't know what's up there
Beyond the sky

And I awoke and the feline came to me. Shuddering. Explicating. Sharing its inferno. Blessing be. Praise be. And into the darkness it fled.
What is dead cannot die.

Ganesh, The Elephant God’s origin is filled with pathos, purpose and meaning.
His Mother is Parvati, the goddess of Supreme Energy. Genesha is born when, in her loneliness and love, Parvati takes yellow turmeric paste from her own body and moulds and animates his form.
Shiva, Ganesh’s father, is the Supreme Teacher and guru, while Ganesha is the ego-bound soul or Jiva, forever trapped in a cycle of life and death. And even when the teacher comes, the Jiva is surrounded with the murky cloud of ego and doesn’t recognize Him. Through compassion and love, the guru cuts off the head of our ego, thus giving us the chance to escape this never ending cycle.
And When Shiva restores life to Ganesha and replaces his head with an elephant’s head, it shows that before we can leave our body, the Lord replaces our worldly desires with a higher purpose. Thereafter we identify with the larger universal Self. Our life is renewed. We become one who can truly benefit all of Creation.
After my mom was trampled (almost to death) in Florence, she had a near death experience. She said she could see spirits in the trees and light in the stones. In India they make temples around some of the mighty trees. I can see why after wandering around outside the ashram in Delhi at 3 in the morning. The shadows are dark and deep.

Saraswati is the Goddess of knowledge, nature, music and art. As an all consuming fire envelops the earth. Saraswati sacrifices herself and is transformed into a river to put out the fire to save all of creation.

The goddess Durga was fighting Raktbeej, a demon lord, and whenever she wounded him and a drop of blood hit the earth, it turned into a replicant of Raktbeej until there were over a million Raktbeej’s. Durga Maa was overwhelmed and from her third eye she manifested the goddess Kali, who not only drank the blood of Raktbeej but also ate the million replicants, thus defeating this demon and cementing her legacy at the most ferocious Goddess in all of existence.
